Bandi Sanjay Calls on BJP Workers to Mobilize for Modi's Hyderabad Rally

Hyderabad — Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has made a direct appeal to BJP workers to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's forthcoming rally a significant show of strength for the party.
Speaking to media representatives at a BJP motorcycle rally organized at RTC Cross Roads on Friday, Sanjay Kumar outlined his vision for the May 10 gathering at Parade Grounds. The event will serve as a platform to demonstrate the party's organizational capability and grassroots support across Telangana.
Rajya Sabha member K. Laxman joined the rally, with both leaders riding motorcycles at the head of the procession through the city.
During his remarks, Sanjay Kumar emphasized that Telangana's developmental trajectory has been substantially shaped by financial allocations from the Union government. He contended that progress in the state remains contingent on continued backing from New Delhi, arguing that independent advancement without central support faces significant constraints.
The Union Minister also leveled accusations against Congress leadership, asserting that party officials have redirected state resources to bolster the party's organizational infrastructure in the national capital.
Sanjay Kumar framed Modi's visit as an opportunity for the Prime Minister to connect with the electorate and seek their support. He characterized a "Double Engine government"—a reference to simultaneous BJP rule at both state and national levels—as the necessary catalyst for accelerated development in Telangana.
"The gathering at Parade Grounds will resound with calls of 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Jai Telangana,'" Sanjay Kumar stated, invoking both religious and regional sentiments.
The Union Minister directed sharp criticism toward K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the state's ruling party. Sanjay Kumar characterized the BRS leadership as corrupt and arrogant, attributing several high-profile controversies to the party's stewardship.
He specifically referenced the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, the Formula-E racing event controversy, and allegations concerning drug-related matters as instances reflecting poorly on BRS administration. According to Sanjay Kumar, such controversies have created distance between the party's leadership and its own workers, with even grassroots cadres expressing disillusionment.
Sanjay Kumar concluded his remarks by asserting that the BJP is positioned to become Telangana's dominant political force in the coming years.
