Congress Facing Public Rejection, Says Union Minister Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has declared that the Congress party faces rejection from voters, pointing to recent Assembly election trends as proof of a clear shift in public sentiment against the party.
During remarks to journalists in Karimnagar on Monday, Kumar highlighted that election outcomes spanning five states demonstrate weakening support for Congress. He contended that the party's prospects of securing power nationally remain bleak.
The minister characterised Congress as steadily "fading away" from India's political arena. He attributed this decline partly to the party's position on significant matters, particularly its stance on the Women's Reservation Bill.
According to Kumar, voters have "taught a fitting lesson" to parties that resist reforms. He maintained that the electorate would not tolerate those who stand in the way of development initiatives.
In forceful remarks directed at Congress leadership, Kumar alleged that party members themselves question the effectiveness of Rahul Gandhi. He suggested the party was "plummeting to rock bottom" under Gandhi's stewardship.
Separately, BJP MP Eatala Rajender commented that recent Assam election results demonstrate the party's strong governance record. He expressed optimism regarding BJP's political trajectory in Telangana.
Rajender drew attention to the Union Cabinet's green-light for the Regional Ring Road project. He also noted that the anticipated arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi would strengthen the party's momentum.
"The BJP's banner will soar across South India," Rajender stated, forecasting party victories in major Hyderabad municipal elections.
Rajender further suggested that BJP's political reach across South India would continue expanding. He asserted that Telangana residents were growing increasingly dissatisfied with the current Congress administration in the state.
