Hyderabad Police Bust Two-Wheeler Theft Racket, Apprehend Two Suspects

Hyderabad's Attapur Police have dismantled a motorcycle theft operation, taking two suspects into custody while recovering five stolen two-wheelers. Two additional members of the gang remain wanted by authorities.

The detained individuals are Mohammad Shahnawaz, known as Shanu, and Mohd Moiz Mohiuddin, both 18 years old and from Hyderabad. Police have identified the fugitive members as Noor and Farhan.

According to the investigation, the organized group systematically targeted motorcycles left unattended in late-night hours. The stolen vehicles were either kept for personal use or disposed of through illegal channels.

Among the recovered motorcycles is a Royal Enfield Himalayan that was taken from Shivarampally on June 25. Investigators revealed that the suspects arrived at the location on a previously stolen Honda Activa before towing away the Royal Enfield from near Pillar No. 295.

The confessions of the arrested individuals led police to connect them with multiple vehicle theft incidents. The investigation uncovered links to cases filed at Begum Bazar and Mailardevpally police stations, resulting in the recovery of the Royal Enfield and four additional stolen motorcycles.

Both apprehended men have criminal histories involving property-related offences and are considered repeat offenders. Police continue their search for the two absconding suspects.

The investigation was conducted by Attapur Police under the direction of senior officers from the Rajendranagar Zone. Law enforcement commended the investigating team for resolving the case and retrieving the stolen vehicles.
