Athulya Senior Care and SingHealth Join Forces on Senior Care Excellence

April 28, 2026

Bangalore — Athulya Senior Care, India's premier assisted living provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SingHealth, Singapore's foremost public healthcare cluster, to collaborate on medical services, professional development, research initiatives, and the sharing of expertise.

SingHealth operates a comprehensive network of healthcare facilities across Singapore. Its institutional portfolio encompasses acute care hospitals including Singapore General Hospital, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Changi General Hospital, and Sengkang General Hospital. The network also includes specialised national centres dedicated to oncology, dentistry, cardiology, neuroscience, ophthalmology, and dermatology. Additionally, SingHealth manages a system of polyclinics and community-based hospitals.

The partnership emerges from mutual recognition of the challenges posed by ageing demographics in both nations and the corresponding need to enhance senior care quality and reach. The alliance combines Athulya's established experience in senior residential living and integrated care pathways with SingHealth's internationally acclaimed medical and research infrastructure.

The agreement encompasses several collaborative dimensions. Both organisations plan to develop structured training initiatives for medical doctors, nursing staff, and other healthcare workers, with the goal of building qualified personnel annually while elevating clinical standards and care quality. Scientific and technical knowledge sharing forms another pillar, including the exchange of academic materials and intellectual property under mutually agreed frameworks. The partners also intend to identify possibilities for joint research ventures, co-authored academic publications, and attendance at medical conferences and academic events.

Additional elements include joint hosting of and participation in medical conferences, educational courses, workshops, and exhibitions of shared interest, with annual joint programming planned. The collaboration will support coordinated medical training and education initiatives designed to raise professional competency. Information exchange on medical matters, governed by confidentiality requirements, will be facilitated through knowledge-sharing channels and regular bilateral consultations to assess progress and identify expanded cooperation opportunities.

Srinivasan G, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Athulya Senior Care, commented on the partnership: "This engagement with SingHealth marks a significant step forward in our commitment to improving senior care throughout India. By combining Athulya's operational expertise in care delivery with SingHealth's recognised clinical proficiency, we can strengthen our work in medical services, training, and research. The partnership enables us to adopt world-class methodologies while helping to build a more dynamic and effective senior care sector in the country."

Vijaya Rao, Director of the International Collaboration Office at SingHealth, stated: "We are enthusiastic about partnering with Athulya Senior Care to examine pathways for enhancing medical services, education, and research. This engagement demonstrates our dedication to cross-border collaboration and the exchange of knowledge. Through this cooperation, we anticipate contributing to skill development, transferring clinical knowledge, and supporting better health outcomes, particularly in senior and community healthcare settings."

London Lucien Ooi, Group Director of SingHealth's International Collaboration Office, added: "This partnership exemplifies SingHealth's broader strategy of establishing significant global partnerships that promote the transfer of knowledge, clinical practices, and international best practices. Working alongside Athulya Senior Care offers considerable scope to advance professional capabilities in senior care while fostering reciprocal knowledge development and creative approaches across different healthcare systems."

The arrangement is anticipated to establish a sustained cooperative relationship between the two organisations, with emphasis on elevating care standards, fostering professional growth, and promoting research-driven progress in the senior care field.
