Telangana Formation Day Commemorated at Legislature with Flag-Hoisting Ceremonies

Hyderabad's legislature marked Telangana State Formation Day with ceremonial flag hoisting at both the Assembly and Legislative Council premises on Tuesday.
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar led proceedings at the Assembly building, raising the national flag as part of the formal commemoration. The event drew attendance from Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, members of the legislative assembly and council, and administrative staff.
The gathering served as an occasion for participants to reflect on Telangana's statehood journey. Those assembled reiterated their commitment to advancing the state's progress and prosperity, while also acknowledging the contributions of those who died during the movement for statehood.
At the Legislative Council premises, Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy conducted the flag-hoisting ceremony. Government Whip Addanki Dayakar joined the observance alongside MLCs Balmuri Venkat, M. Kodandaram, and Vijayashanthi. A cross-section of public representatives also participated in the programme.
The state-wide commemoration extended beyond the legislature, with government departments, schools, colleges, and civil society organisations hosting their own Formation Day events throughout Telangana.
