Telangana Chief Minister to Inaugurate Second Phase of Indiramma Housing in Asifabad District

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will formally inaugurate the second phase of the Indiramma housing programme in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on June 2, coinciding with Telangana's state formation day celebrations.
Ahead of the launch, Revenue, Housing and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy conducted a visit to the district on Wednesday to assess readiness for the programme. The Minister inspected sites earmarked for the Chief Minister's visit and evaluated progress on ongoing Indiramma housing construction projects.
The inspection was joined by Excise, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, MLC Dande Vittal, District Collector K. Haritha, and Bellampalli MLA Gaddam Vinod.
Addressing the gathering, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy underscored that the government's core focus remains on public welfare and comprehensive state development. He noted that the Indiramma housing initiative has gained substantial momentum throughout Telangana, prompting the government to intensify efforts toward delivering adequate housing to economically disadvantaged families.
The Minister highlighted that construction of Indiramma houses for tribal communities is underway in Kothari village, ensuring that tribal families gain access to permanent residential accommodation.
Beyond housing, the government is prioritising women-centric welfare programmes including Mahalakshmi, Gruhajyothi, ration distribution, Indira Mahila Shakti, and Rajiv Aarogyasri. Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy emphasised that these initiatives recognise women as the cornerstone of family and society.
The Minister provided assurance that all eligible poor families would receive house allotments during the second phase rollout, urging beneficiaries to remain confident regarding the scheme's implementation.
In a separate event at the Integrated District Collectorate complex, accreditation cards for the 2026-28 period were distributed to eligible print and electronic media journalists. The event was attended by government officials, elected representatives, and departmental personnel.
