Apollo Hospitals Opens 76th Facility in India; New Hyderabad Campus Marks Fifth Hospital in State

Hyderabad, May 2026 — Apollo Hospitals has reached a significant growth milestone by opening its 76th hospital across India, further consolidating its healthcare presence in the country.
The latest facility, inaugurated in Hyderabad's Financial District, represents Apollo's fifth hospital in the city and underscores the organisation's 39-year commitment to the Telangana region. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy formally opened the 400-bed facility, which was attended by Apollo Founder Chairman Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson Shobana Kamineni, and Joint Managing Director Dr. Sangeeta Reddy. State Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha and MLA Arekapudi Gandhi were also present at the event.
Smart Healthcare Infrastructure
The 10-storey facility incorporates digital integration to transform how healthcare is delivered. The hospital's design prioritises multi-speciality treatments, rapid emergency services, and preventive care programmes, with a focus on making advanced medical services more accessible and efficient for patients.
The infrastructure emphasises streamlined patient journeys through smart technologies, minimised waiting periods, and digitally-connected healthcare delivery systems designed to enhance clinical outcomes.
Free Screening Programme for Community
During the inauguration, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy announced a community health initiative offering 10,000 free health screening check-ups every Sunday for residents of Nanakramguda. This programme aligns with Apollo's broader strategy of emphasising preventive medicine, early detection, and building healthier communities while reducing the burden of prolonged hospital stays.
Technology and Clinical Excellence
Dr. Sangeeta Reddy described the new hospital as representing a shift in Telangana's healthcare landscape, referencing Apollo's earlier contributions including organ transplantation and advanced surgical procedures.
"This hospital demonstrates our vision for the future of healthcare—combining artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and a patient-centric approach," she stated.
The facility incorporates AI systems, digital health monitoring infrastructure, and clinical standards benchmarked against international best practices across all medical specialties.
Safety and Comprehensive Services
The hospital operates a multidisciplinary care model supported by experienced clinical staff, modern intensive care units, and safety protocols aligned with global standards. Continuous monitoring systems in critical care areas operate round-the-clock while maintaining patient confidentiality and comfort.
The facility is structured to provide comprehensive services spanning emergency care through scheduled treatments, designed to deliver reliable and efficient patient experiences.
Community Recognition
Upasana Kamineni Konidela, who was present at the event, spoke about her connection to Apollo and her experiences balancing family and professional commitments, adding a personal perspective to the occasion.
The hospital's naming as "The Hospital of Gratitude" reflects Apollo's recognition of the long-standing relationship with Telangana and the community's confidence in the organisation over nearly four decades.
With this expansion, Apollo Hospitals reinforces its standing among India's premier healthcare providers, advancing its mission through medical innovation, expanded access to care, and community-focused initiatives.
