Apollo Hospitals Opens Super Speciality Centre in Dadar, Expanding Access to Advanced Care in Mumbai

Apollo Hospitals has inaugurated a new Super Speciality Center in Dadar, strengthening its presence in central Mumbai with a facility dedicated to delivering advanced medical expertise. The centre provides specialist services spanning cardiology, neurology, oncology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, transplantation, and pulmonology, complemented by state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities, robotic surgical systems, and round-the-clock clinical availability.

The facility is staffed by seasoned Apollo clinicians, each bringing more than ten years of professional experience to their respective fields. Services operate within Apollo's integrated clinical framework, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to established protocols.

The inauguration was attended by Arunesh Punetha, Regional CEO for the Western Region, alongside leading medical specialists including Dr Anil D'Cruz (Director of Oncology and Senior Head and Neck Oncology Surgeon), Dr Deepak Gautam (Senior Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery and Robotic Joint Replacement), Dr Dipalee Borade (Consultant in Radiation Oncology), Dr Jyoti Bajpai (Lead Consultant for Medical and Precision Oncology), and Dr Sumeet Pawar (Consultant Spine Surgeon and Neurosurgeon), along with other physicians and community representatives.

The move addresses a significant patient care challenge in the region. Approximately 8,000 patients from Mumbai travel annually to Apollo Hospitals in Navi Mumbai to access specialized treatment, with many requiring repeated visits throughout their care journey. As Apollo Navi Mumbai approaches its tenth anniversary in November, the Dadar centre represents an expansion of the group's commitment to bringing clinical expertise directly to patients in the city's core.

Dr Anil D'Cruz emphasized the patient-focused rationale behind the expansion: "We are committed to ensuring that world-class healthcare is not only of the highest standard but also readily accessible on a consistent basis. Over the years, thousands of patients from within Mumbai have made the journey to Navi Mumbai for specialized treatment, frequently multiple times during their care course. Our Dadar Centre is a direct response to this need, enabling patients to access Apollo's specialists, advanced diagnostic resources, and coordinated treatment plans much closer to their homes. This represents more than simply adding physical infrastructure—it reflects our dedication to placing patient needs at the centre of our service delivery."

For patients undergoing ongoing treatment, the new centre eliminates approximately 30 kilometres of travel per appointment, facilitating quicker consultations, more frequent follow-up visits, and seamless continuity of care. The benefit is particularly significant for oncology patients, those recovering from transplant procedures, and individuals managing chronic conditions requiring frequent clinical monitoring.
