Hyderabad Police Conduct Drug Awareness Drive at IT Hub Sattva Knowledge City

Hyderabad police have launched an anti-drug awareness initiative at Sattva Knowledge City, bringing together roughly 200 software professionals and administrators to discuss the perils of narcotics. The event, conducted under Rayadurgam Police Station jurisdiction, is part of a wider anti-narcotics awareness campaign being rolled out across Telangana in preparation for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The session centred on educating participants about the destructive impact of drug abuse and the significance of maintaining a substance-free, healthy lifestyle. Kukatpally Deputy Commissioner of Police Rithiraj, IPS, served as the principal speaker at the gathering. He outlined the serious health and social repercussions linked to drug consumption, calling on workers and young people to distance themselves from narcotic substances. He underscored that safeguarding both physical and psychological health forms the foundation for achieving meaningful professional and personal success.

The DCP appealed to the broader community to act with responsibility and play an active role in creating drug-free neighbourhoods. He emphasized that combating substance abuse requires collective effort from all segments of society to prevent its proliferation.

Key messaging during the programme included "Say No to Drugs – Choose Life, Choose a Drug-Free Future" and "మత్తు వద్దు… మంచి భవిష్యత్తు ముద్దు!" — slogans designed to motivate individuals to reject drug consumption and pursue improved life prospects.

The event was attended by Madhapur Assistant Commissioner of Police C.H. Sridhar, Rayadurgam Police Station Station House Officer C.H. Venkanna, Detective Inspector Bhupathi, uniformed officers, and the participating IT professionals. This programme represents a component of the statewide initiative to strengthen public consciousness and mitigate substance abuse across various demographic groups throughout Telangana.
