Telangana approves ₹16 crore infrastructure project for Andole constituency villages

Hyderabad: The Telangana administration has cleared administrative approval for a ₹16 crore road infrastructure initiative spanning five revenue villages within the HMR (Hyderabad Metropolitan Region) limits of Choutkur mandal. Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha championed the scheme, which focuses on enhancing connectivity and public amenities.

The approved works encompass construction of bituminous roads, concrete roads, and side drainage systems across Venkatakishtapur, Lingampalli, Korpol, Shivampet, and Vendikol villages.

Four major projects sanctioned

The first project involves laying a 3-km bituminous road connecting Venkatakishtapur to Lingampalli, budgeted at ₹4.50 crore. A second 3-km bituminous road will link National Highway 161 to the Sultanpur-Korpol route at an outlay of ₹4 crore.

The third component includes concrete roads and drainage infrastructure spanning 0.50 km in Shivampet village, estimated at ₹1 crore. The fourth and largest project comprises a 5-km bituminous road from NH-161 to the Shivampet-Vendikol corridor, carrying a budget of ₹6.50 crore.

Infrastructure development priorities

Officials stated that these initiatives represent a strategic push to upgrade civic infrastructure in the HMR-designated villages. The government has emphasized its commitment to fostering balanced growth across the Andole constituency by strengthening transportation networks that will benefit residents and facilitate economic activity.
