Air India's Maharaja Club Marks 100 Partnership Milestone with Points Fest Campaign

Air India's loyalty programme, Maharaja Club, is rolling out a special Points Fest initiative to mark a significant expansion of its partner ecosystem. The airline has added more than 100 brands to its partnership network between fiscal years 2023 and 2026, a milestone that underscores the programme's evolution into a contemporary, globally competitive lifestyle-driven rewards platform.

The expanded partnership network has driven substantial member engagement, with over 4.2 million transactions processed across 100+ partners during FY26 alone. This includes collaborations with both international and everyday-use brands spanning lifestyle, travel, and experiences categories. The partnerships enable Maharaja Club members to accumulate points beyond their flight purchases, accelerating their journey toward complimentary flights and cabin upgrades.

The programme's growth metrics are striking. Over the past three years, Air India has recorded a doubling of member engagement levels alongside a corresponding increase in partner activity rates among its member base. This expansion reflects growing transaction volumes and increased customer participation across the entire partnership network.

The Points Fest campaign, running through May 31, 2026, offers members two pathways to earn bonus Maharaja Points up to a maximum of 200,000 per eligible partner.

The first avenue, "Shop and Earn," provides a flat 50% bonus on transactions with participating brands across categories including lifestyle, accommodation, experiences, and travel services. Featured partners include Adidas, Ajio, Apple, Atlys, FirstCry, Forest Essentials, H&M, Healthians, Levi's, Myntra, Nike, Puma, The Bicester Collection, UNIQLO, and others. Members must register using their Maharaja Club ID and complete transactions through designated partner pages.

The second option, "Convert and Earn," allows members to convert accumulated reward points from other programmes into Maharaja Points while earning tiered bonuses. Conversion partners include Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, HSBC Global, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Flipkart SuperCoins, and Audi India. The bonus structure is graduated: 10% on conversions of 1–25,000 points, 20% on 25,001–50,000 points, 30% on 50,001–75,000 points, 40% on 75,001–100,000 points, and 50% on conversions exceeding 100,000 points.

Members who accumulate 200,000 bonus Maharaja Points can unlock substantial travel benefits. The points can be redeemed for up to five one-way Economy Class tickets between Mumbai and London Heathrow, or alternatively, up to 20 round-trip flights on premium domestic routes such as Delhi-Mumbai.

Sunil Suresh, Head of Loyalty, E-Commerce and Marketing at Air India, commented on the initiative: "What we are building with Maharaja Club is not just a larger partner network but a fundamentally different loyalty proposition, one that is integrated into our customers' everyday lives. As we scale this ecosystem globally, our focus is on making rewards more accessible, more flexible, and ultimately more valuable for our members. At Air India, we are proud to see that Maharaja Points are increasingly emerging as a trusted and versatile loyalty currency, driving consistent engagement across touchpoints."

The Points Fest campaign follows a series of enhancements announced on April 1, 2026. Air India reduced Maharaja Points requirements for award flights and cabin upgrades on at least 90% of its routes. The airline also introduced a streamlined tier-based structure for rescheduling and cancelling award flights, while lowering the flight count thresholds needed to help members progress through loyalty tiers more rapidly.
