Air India Expands Vietnam Operations with New Hanoi Service

Air India has launched five weekly non-stop flights connecting Delhi to Hanoi, marking the airline's entry into Vietnam's capital city. The inaugural flight AI2390 departed Delhi at 0120 Hrs (IST) and arrived at Noi Bai International Airport at 0720 Hrs local time, where Indian Embassy officials, airport representatives, and Air India staff greeted the aircraft.

This expansion represents Air India's second gateway in Vietnam, complementing its existing daily service to Ho Chi Minh City, and brings the airline's Southeast Asian network to eight destinations. The new route opens possibilities for open-jaw itineraries, allowing passengers to arrive in one Vietnamese city and depart from another, streamlining multi-city travel for both leisure and business purposes.

The Delhi-Hanoi route operates using Air India's A320neo aircraft, configured with three cabin classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. The service also strengthens connectivity between Europe and Vietnam through Air India's Delhi hub, providing an additional routing option for transcontinental travellers.

"Vietnam has emerged as an increasingly attractive market for Indian travellers, driven by leisure travel demand, expanding business ties, and growing interest in multi-destination holidays," said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Air India. "By establishing Hanoi alongside our Ho Chi Minh City operations, we are expanding travel choices and deepening connectivity between our two nations while facilitating European-Vietnam traffic."

The flight schedule operates as follows:
