Hyderabad: A new training facility focused on artificial intelligence and digital skills was formally opened in Manthani on Wednesday by Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna and Telangana IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. The facility, known as the TASK-AVGC and Artificial Intelligence Centre, will operate alongside the newly launched TASK-CtriLS Talent Centre.

The initiative is designed to equip rural youth with capabilities in modern technology fields, with officials emphasizing that expanded skill development would translate into improved job prospects for students and aspiring professionals in the region.

During the inauguration ceremony, Vamsi Krishna highlighted how training programmes in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics (AVGC), and Artificial Intelligence would generate employment pathways for young people. He noted that the centres represent a partnership between Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and CtrlS Datacenters Ltd to deliver industry-aligned training to students.

The MP underscored that the facility would grant rural learners access to advanced technology education comparable to what is available in major urban centres. He expressed satisfaction that students from Manthani and surrounding communities would no longer face the necessity of relocating to cities like Hyderabad or Bengaluru to pursue specialized technology courses.

"Previously, pursuing courses in artificial intelligence and similar fields required travelling to distant cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru. It is gratifying that these learning opportunities are now accessible right here in Manthani," Vamsi Krishna stated.

The core objective of the AI skill centre, according to the MP, is to bridge the gap between rural youth and digital opportunities. He expressed gratitude to Minister Sridhar Babu for facilitating the establishment of the centre and appealed to students and young professionals to take full advantage of the available resources.

Following the inauguration, the two leaders proceeded to lay the foundation stone for a garment manufacturing facility at Gangapuri. The government-backed project is estimated to cost Rs.7.30 crore to construct.
