Acer Unveils Iconia 5G Tablet Series with Advanced Features for Work and Creative Pursuits

Acer has introduced its latest Iconia 5G tablet lineup, marking an expansion of the company's Android tablet offerings in India. The new series comprises four distinct variants engineered to serve professionals, students, content creators, and general consumers seeking a balance of performance and versatility.
The tablets run on the MediaTek MT8791 processor paired with Android 15, delivering the computational power needed for demanding applications. The chipset architecture incorporates 2× Cortex-A78 cores operating at up to 2.4GHz alongside 6× Cortex-A55 cores reaching 2.0GHz. A standout feature is the integrated Artificial Intelligence Processing Unit capable of delivering up to 2.6 TOPS, enabling on-device AI functionalities without relying on cloud processing.
At the heart of the user experience sits an 11.45-inch 2.2K IPS display with 1440 × 2200 pixel resolution and 450 nits brightness. The in-cell touch technology ensures responsive interaction and precise stylus control, making these tablets particularly suited for note-taking, illustration work, and digital design applications. The device ships with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with microSD expansion available up to 1TB for users requiring additional capacity.
Connectivity capabilities include 5G and 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.2, complemented by GPS functionality. The imaging setup comprises an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for video communication and a dual rear camera system with 16MP and 2MP sensors for photography and macro capture. A fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button offers biometric security.
Audio and battery performance receive equal attention. Dual stereo speakers deliver immersive sound suitable for media consumption and virtual collaboration, while a 7400mAh battery supports extended operation with PD fast charging capability at 9V/2A specifications.
The tablet ecosystem expands with optional accessories. An active stylus featuring 4096 pressure levels facilitates detailed creative work, and a keyboard cover connecting via POGO pins transforms the device into a productivity-focused workstation. The sensor suite includes gyroscope, compass, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer components.
Sudhir Goel, Chief Business Officer at Acer India, remarked that contemporary tablets must transcend entertainment functions to support productivity and creative endeavours in modern work environments. He emphasized that the Iconia iM11-22M5G variants strengthen Acer's tablet proposition through robust processing capabilities, generous display real estate, reliable connectivity infrastructure, and productivity-focused accessories including stylus and keyboard support.
The Acer Iconia Tablet iM11 begins at Rs 25,499 and will be available through Acer exclusive outlets, the company's direct online platform, Amazon, and Flipkart.
