ACB Conducts Raids on Properties of Nizamabad Excise Official in Disproportionate Assets Probe

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau launched coordinated raids on Tuesday targeting multiple properties connected to Malla Reddy, Superintendent of Excise in Nizamabad, as part of an investigation into alleged disproportionate assets.

The operation encompassed simultaneous searches across his residential addresses—one in Machabollaram within Hyderabad and another in Pragathi Nagar in Nizamabad—alongside his official workspace and properties belonging to family members.

Reddy has held the position of Nizamabad Excise Superintendent for six years. The ACB initiated the asset verification process following recent corruption allegations leveled against him, scrutinizing his financial records and property holdings.

During the search operations, investigators retrieved significant documents from his Pragathi Nagar residence. The focus of the inquiry centers on determining whether his accumulated assets align with his documented income sources.

Unconfirmed reports suggested that Reddy was taken into custody and transported to Hyderabad, though official confirmation of this development remained pending at the time.

The agency continued its examination of materials and documentation recovered from the various locations as the investigation progressed.
