The Anti-Corruption Bureau has launched a major search operation targeting HMWSSB General Manager S. L. Kumar in connection with an inquiry into disproportionate assets. The operation extended across multiple locations, with simultaneous raids conducted at eight sites connected to Kumar's family members spread across Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Nizamabad districts.

During the search at Kumar's residence in Mallapur, ACB teams recovered Rs 1.10 crore in currency notes. The seizure also included approximately 1.5 kilograms of gold items and 2.5 kilograms of silver articles.

The investigation has identified significant real estate holdings in Kumar's name and those of his relatives. Officials discovered three acres of agricultural property in Nizamabad district. The searches also uncovered six vacant plots in Hyderabad and three residential flats within a gated community complex.

ACB investigators seized all relevant documentation pertaining to these properties and have begun the process of examining and verifying the records. The agency is gathering detailed statements from Kumar regarding the nature and origins of the assets discovered during the operation.

The ACB indicated that comprehensive details regarding the findings would be made public once the search operations conclude and the verification process is completed. The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue their examination of the recovered materials and documentation.
